| WHITBY - OUR HOME FOR 2 WEEKS IN ENGLAND. A SMALL FISHING TOWN ON THE NORTH SEA. |
Whitby was the scene for our March British Canoe Union training course. This small town on the North Sea provided a perfect backdrop for 2 weeks of river, rapid and sea kayaking, canoeing and water safety training. Trained by Lee and his team from DEVELOP OUTDOORS, we somehow survived the English spring (ie. winter), and I even found that the 'ice-cream' headaches I was expecting weren't so bad after all´.
The temperature stayed above zero, which was quite considerate, and if we happened to get cold then there were always the english pubs to warm us up. Consequently many people got cold much of the time...
